In 2003 Friends of the Colo completed the primary treatment of invasive willows along the Colo River in the Wollemi National Park. This trip was the first monitoring trip between Bob Turners Track and Upper Colo since November 2007. We found eight small black willows and treated three of them. We had to leave five of them because they were in deep water but will will walk the section of river between Colo Meroo and the property called Wydonadingo when the river drops to it's normal level and treat the 5 black willows we could not treat on this trip. On this trip we walked down to the river along Bob Turners track and paddled the 17 kilometers to the takeout point when the river was at 1.8 meters. The walk in took 1.3hrs and the paddle took 5.3 hrs and included 3 rapids and some great scenery and company.
