Paddle on the Macdonald River near St Albans to monitor the river for new black willow seedlings this activity will be ideal for volunteers with young families who want to join us, as we float and sometime paddle along the river stopping for swims and water fights and to treat any black willow seedlings we find. The river is shallow most of the time flowing through the sandbars but needs rain before the activity. If there is not enough water to paddle the river we may change the activity to another river or walk the river instead of canoeing or to monitor some of the lagoons in the Macdonald Valley activities which may be less family friendly.
This is a grade one section of river.
