We will paddle the groups kayaks the 8km along the Nepean River between Russel Street and Devlin Road to look for and poison Black
Willows. This is part of a larger Black Willow Control Program along the
river between Penrith and the Colo River junction.
Itinerary
·
9:00 Meet at Devlin
Road Castlereagh see Google map link and leave at least one vehicle at Devlin
Road with dry clothes for the end of the trip and then drive to Russel Street
·
Drive the
vehicles to Russell Street arriving at 9:30 and unload the boats, tools and
other gear and give trip briefing and introduction to the program.
·
10:00 start
paddle treating black willows as we find them.
·
15:30 to 16:00 arrive
at Devlin road and drivers drive to Russell Street to collect the vehicles
whilst the others pack up the gear.
·
16:15 to 16:45 return
with the cars and pack the boats and gear into the cars and head for home about
17:00
