Joint Activity with Friends of the Colo
Car camp at Newnes and walk along the Wolgan River and Barton Creek treating Crack willows up in the farm lands of the Wolgan Valley. This activity is part of the Willows out of Wollemi project. The Friends of the Colo have been treating invasive willows in the Colo Catchment since April 2000 and have completed the primary treatment of the Black willows and so have moved onto treating the remaining threat from crack willows in the Wolgan and Capertee Valleys. The camp site in the Wolgan Valley is one of the most spectacular vehicle access camp sites near Sydney.
This project is funded by The NSW Environmental Trust
