Willow Warriors completed the primary treatment of black willows along the Grose River in 2007 and extended the project to treat black willows where the Grose River joins the Hawkesbury at Yarramundi and discovered many isolated seedlings, two sand islands with thousands of seedlings and two mature Black Willows.

On this activity Jeff Cottrell  treated the black willows on the sand island in the middle of the Nepean River 1km downstream of the Yarramundi Bridge.
