Willow Warriors paddled from the junction of the Warragamba and Nepean Rivers up the Warragamba River until we ran out of water about 1500m short of the dam wall and then back down the Nepean to Euroka Creek to map and treat invasive willows in this section of river. We found three crack willows near the Warragamba junction and 10 to 15 Crack willows where we stopped. We also recorded a number of black willows between this point and the dam wall. There were probably over 100 black willows of various ages but probably less than 10 years old. There were no signs regarding access to the area but there were probably some restrictions so we did not treat any of these willows and moved on quickly. We will discuss the issue with Sydney Catchment Authority and NPWS to sort out the best options available to treat these willows.
