Upper Murrumbidgee River - National Willows Taskforce Field Trip 2008 December 10&11 |

Field Trip by the National Willows Taskforce as part of the taskforce meeting. The field trip took the group to four sites:
- The Queanbeyan River where a bush regeneration team are restoring a reach of the Queanbeyan River including treating willows and various other weeds.
- River bank were willows have been dying after willow sawfly defoliations.
- The Molongolo River where an excavator had removed willows, leaving the stumps, from a kilometer of river.
- The Murrumbidgee river below angle Crossing to several sandbars where black willow seedlings were mapped by willow warriors in October 2006 and are now 3 to 4 meters high and generating their own seed and so there is a gallery of seedlings over an acre or so of river bed.
