Activity with local paddler Ian Royds and Penrith Whitewater Stadium manager Jack Hodge and Joanna Willmott, Fred Wood and Jeff Cottrell paddling the river between Berima camping ground and McArthurs Crossing, after getting landowner permission to exit at McArthurs Crossing. On this activitty we mapped willows in 200 meter transects along the river and photographed the river at these points. We did not expect to find the spectacular canyon along the Broomielaw property and classed the section of river as high conservation value due to spectacular rock formations.
